IDS NXT malibu: Now with 4K streaming at 30 fps thanks to Sony Starvis 2 sensor!
Market launch IDS NXT malibu with IMX678 plus software release 4.1, e.g. for MJPEG compressed streaming
AI-based image processing, video compression, streaming - and all of this directly in and output from the camera: this combination makes IDS NXT malibu so special. A new camera model and the IDS NXT 4.1 software release are the next highlights in our product line for intelligent image processing.
Starting now, the AI-capable industrial camera is available with the 8 MP Sony rolling shutter sensor IMX678 from the Starvis 2 series. This means top image quality and exceptional low-light performance - and the ability to stream live in 4K from the camera. As such, the new model is particularly suitable for use in twilight or poor light conditions.
All IDS NXT malibu variants benefit from the IDS NXT 4.1 software release. One new feature is the option to display live images from the camera via an MJPEG-compressed HTTP stream. This enables visualization in any web browser without additional software or plug-ins. Compressed RTSP video streams via H.264 are now available in full sensor resolution. In addition, individual neural networks can be trained as required with the AI vision studio IDS lighthouse for the Ambarella SoC of the IDS NXT malibu camera family. This simplifies use for classification, object detection and anomaly detection.
